RONDEBOSCH GUEST COTTAGES

Stayed here for 2 weeks recently. Lovely location, central and very spacious. We took all 3 rooms in Moon cottage and had a great time. The outdoor bbq area was comfortable and used often. The cottage had DSTV (satellite TV setup) which was a plus. We had 2 complaints for our stay that stopped this being a 4 or 5 star. The dishwasher broke and was not repaired for our entire 2 week stay. Eventually we gave up asking when it would be repaired. From the many serviced and self catering places I've stayed at, serviced means that the rooms are cleaned, linen and towels replaced when needed. This was not the case here. All linen and towels and toilet paper are for the guest to clean or replace. Considering this place is advertised as luxury serviced cottages, this was quite a surprise. The servicing was also disappointing. A quick clean of the floor and wiping the counters. The bathrooms were never cleaned very well.

We visited our family staying there. They have always tried to get accomodation there. Quiet and serene surroundings
